"Living on the Dash" INTRODUCTION: Have you ever taken the time to wonder why they put a dash between the years of a person’s birth and their death? That little dash is the most important part of that numeric sentence. That dash represents our entire life from start to finish. The things you do today will be remembered tomorrow, what do you want to be remembered for? I. Time Management A. Being a good steward of our time B. What happens when we waste time
II. Keep purpose in mind A. Is the time your spending going towards your purpose? B. God has called you so you must keep your relationship with him in your plans. III. Leaving a Legacy A. What is a Legacy 1. Determine what kind of a legacy you are leaving 2. How can I ensure the legacy I leave is positive? B. The Dash 1. Examining your dash, your personal life line 2. Implementing positive attributes to your life 3. If not a Christian, accept Him as your Savior and Lord today. CONCLUSION: We are not promised tomorrow James 4:14 says; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. It is very important that we live each day working towards leaving a legacy. It’s not how long we live our life that is important but what we do with our dash that counts. If you have not accepted Christ as your Savior, that is the first step in maximizing your potential. Be a good steward of your time and prepare for eternity by accepting Christ today. |
