People Of Praise And Thanksgiving (Psalms 147:1; 150:6) INTODUCTION: Celebrating the awesome gifts of Time, Temple, Talent, and Treasure given byGod. I. Celebrating Time “This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalms 118:24) This is the only day we are promised lets make the most of it. If God gives us tomorrow, celebrate that day by giving praise to Him and looking for an opportunity to tell someone of God’s goodness. If not a Christian, show your thankfulness for this opportunity by giving your heart to Christ. 2. Celebrating our
We honor God by taking good care of the God given temple. 3. Celebrating Talent Give praise to God for His gifts/talents by looking for ways to use them.
4. Celebrating Financial Freedom
A. Giving thanksgiving to God for a financial plan that is guaranteed to work. “…I will open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.” (Malachi 3:10) B. Giving thanks to God for instructions on how to carry out the plan. “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse.” (Malachi 3:10) C. Giving thanks to God for putting His reputation on the line to prove His point. “Test me in this.” (Malachi 3:10) D. Giving thanks to God because as I tithe, He will break the financial curse from my life. (Malachi 3:8 & 9) -This is the only place in the scripture that God challenges humans to test Him. E. Celebrating freedom from the slavery of debt. “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.” (Proverbs 22:7) - As we are good stewards of God’s blessings we will become debt free.
